You can make STR based Halfling Barbarian with Greatsword with no issues, if you want.
I made a halfling ranger and it wasn't half bad. Luchy is pretty good, but the slow move speed is something you'll feel. IMHO wood elf is clearly better, but this is not weak by any means.
Lucky is one of the stronger feats you can pick up, and that has a 3x a day limit. The racial is borderline OP as it virtually prevents a natural one from being rolled, unless the reroll is another one.
Wil is widely known to have horribly bad dice rolls. Even before CR, on his tabletop game show he had horrendous rolls. He is one of those people that help spread the stigma of never letting someone else touch your dice, lest they be cursed. All in good fun, of course!
..but seriously, destroy any dice Wheaton comes into contact with.
They confirmed the lucky feat will be in game, although whether it will work exactly like pen and paper version is another matter, considering that it applies to pretty much every roll you can make, and even some rolls NPCs make. Between that and divination wizard it's hard to tell if they will apply to everything or only to specific types of rolls.
I am super excited to try a divination wizard on my iron man run, just to give me that little edge over chance.
