Rogue as per Bilbo Baggins. But... do what you want.

I should add that I am doing Valor Bard and having a good time as a Halfling.

Since you will be able to move the racial stat bonuses where ever you want. You can play any race and any class combo you want and you will be pretty much OK.
You can make STR based Halfling Barbarian with Greatsword with no issues, if you want.

Full barbarian, then get a high str 2nd character and yeet them into the fight!

Right now halfings get +2 dex and either +1 con or +1 cha. So you can use them as a charisma caster o a dex based character. During launch we will get a tasha version where we can select +2 any +1 any other so you can play halfling and be optimal with whatever you want.

Is ''Lucky'' and ''Strongheart Resilience'' useful traits?

I made a halfling ranger and it wasn't half bad. Luchy is pretty good, but the slow move speed is something you'll feel. IMHO wood elf is clearly better, but this is not weak by any means.

Divination Wizard with the (if it makes the game) lucky feat. Control the dice.

Lucky is one of the stronger feats you can pick up, and that has a 3x a day limit. The racial is borderline OP as it virtually prevents a natural one from being rolled, unless the reroll is another one.

My brother in solasta has rolled 1s multiple times even with lucky haha his luck was so bad he started only playing halfling to even have half a chance to hit xD

Wil Wheaton?

Wil is widely known to have horribly bad dice rolls. Even before CR, on his tabletop game show he had horrendous rolls. He is one of those people that help spread the stigma of never letting someone else touch your dice, lest they be cursed. All in good fun, of course!

..but seriously, destroy any dice Wheaton comes into contact with.
And my brother, cuz the worst part is anytime he rolls good in solasta the rest of us roll a 1 haha

They confirmed the lucky feat will be in game, although whether it will work exactly like pen and paper version is another matter, considering that it applies to pretty much every roll you can make, and even some rolls NPCs make. Between that and divination wizard it's hard to tell if they will apply to everything or only to specific types of rolls.

I am super excited to try a divination wizard on my iron man run, just to give me that little edge over chance.
