How did dragon born come into being ?

I know that was the canon when I was a kid. I remember reading about their creation in one of the Dragonlance books, but I cannot, for the life of me, remember which one.

Basically, Abeir is Toril's ("our") twin planet. They're separate but kinda bled into each other during the Spellplague. That was when Mystra died, yet again, and made the Weave all unstable. That's how they came over I think.

The canon is kinda vague, which may be intentional. Some stuff claims they're the result of breeding and slavery to being created by an actual god of dragons. Either way, they're from another world that doesn't have magic, but is actually controlled by primordials. An event known as the "Spellplague" caused a lot of crazy magic shenanigans and a part of their world connected with Faerun, destroying a good portion of their homeworld in the process (I think).

They crossed over and settled here. That's the really short shtick of it.
