Elves can't grow facial hair. I for one am glad that Baldur's Gate 3 keeps lore in mind.
Half-elves can grow beards and some have grown one to make their elven heritage less obvious. My guess is that Thorm is a half-elf too or a very, very rare exception.
If you want a bearded elf, play a half-elf.
LOL, the true racial bonus half elves have over normal elves.
What, why was racial ability bonuses removed? Isn't that just as important lorewise?
Yeah, but too many people couldn't handle it if their character wasn't 100% optimized at all times if they made an unorthadox race/class choice. So, what can you do.
I don't know why, but from the latest Panel from Hell all races has a floating +2 / +1, even humans, mountain dwarves, and half elfs.
