I have been playing Ranger Knight since it was added, it is great fun.

Rangers are much more playable than in the standard book. Also Gloom Stalker will be a choice ingame so they'll be fun.

And they buffed Beastmaster considerably.

Outside of Beastmaster, it doesn’t scale great past 5, but it always combined great with Life Cleric, and with Gloomstalker’s synergy with Assassin it’s a absolute damage monster.

So, never was garbage, and now it’s got highly competitive builds.

Feels like they overbuffed Rangers in BG3 honestly. Beast Master is extremely good since they gave the beast companions good stats and allow you to gain advantage on attack if you have a beast companion near your target.

Gloom Stalker is one of Rangers best sub classes so no worries on that front.

Hunter can hold its own with hunter's mark and colossal slayer.

My favorite class to play. Gloom Stalker sounds really good. A Dark Urge Gloom Stalker Ranger. That's going to be my first play run.

Ranger that's invisible in darkness to enemies that use dark vision (which is quite a lot of enemies)

Pro tip: Don't bring a torch if you bring a gloom stalker.
