Don't need to. I saw a funny scene which would have never played in my playthrough. Props to Larian for giving an entertaining show, even if it WAS steered by the audience.

The whole "drama" around people claiming it to be bestiality is absurd.

The thing is, it’s not even a joke. It’s a visual pun, in which the figurative bear Halsin (as in the bear gay subculture; hence Halsin being nicknamed “daddy Halsin”) takes the shape of a literal bear. Then Halsin proceeds to compare the loss of control of his wild shape to a problem “down there.” It’s a moment of emotional vulnerability for Halsin. The audience chose the dialogue option where Astarion is a supportive partner, who accepts Halsin as he is. If someone can’t understand the emotional tenor of this scene, I feel sorry for their romantic partner, because they’re obviously not getting any empathy from you.

I never really liked Halsin. But my girl friend does like him a lot (and we will play the game in multiplayer).
Even so she already decides that she doesn't want to trigger the scene. Mostly because she wants to play a "very serious" character and, even if she took the scene for what it is: "a joke" she doesn't need the joke in her playthrough.
