Now Dark Urge Human Oathbreaker, i love dark/evil playthroughs and to finally get a game that embraces your ability to do so , I AM NOT going to miss this opportunity for first playthrough
Well I have enjoyed my dwarf barbarian character, the one with the +2 str. Works really well in that set up, and since I like tanky stuff at times making them a bear barbarian giving myself resistance to all but psychic damage is pretty helpful as well.
I've grown fond of ranger as well, but right now I'm trying to decide if I was to do that do I want to make a bow user or a melee dual wielder who gets the feat that allows you to use normal one handed weapons and you build them with str over dex. Can make a decently tanky character with AC and the ability to swing two decent hitters.
Might also make a sorcerer at some point, not sure on the race as of yet though. Would also depend on if I go with the new subclass, dragon, or random chaos sorcerer. I do kinda want to do a random chaos run since that's not usually my style and see how much of a gut punch that might be to do. If I was to do that, I'd likely make a female half elf in honor of Neera. Quite liked her in the old games, even though I'm not the biggest fan of those games.
Though that Dark Urge Origin messed with all my plans I had. It looks so well done.
Barbarian was a lot of fun, though, especially because I could get rid of Lae'zel and gift her armor to Shadowheart. With Feylock, I'm probably going to have to wait for Karlach before ditching Lae'zel. Now that they've made Wyll presumably more interesting, I'm torn, though, because I want to see how that story plays out but don't need another Warlock in the party.
I have to admit, Gloomstalker/Rogue multi-class is tempting me, though.
But a pact of the blade warlock is still a bit of a gish so... yeah.
That multiclass is pretty good taking only a couple lvls of barb for rage and reckless attacks to fish for crit smites.
