Honestly, that was a pretty good PR move of them, all that controversia around the bear sex and all the other things really made people talk about the game a lot more.
As most people know, even "bad" PR is good PR.

Not saying thats the only reason though since it actually seems like it will be a phenomenal game too.

Outselling Elden Ring isn't terribly surprising since it's over a year old now and the hype has died down, but outselling COD is honestly surprising (granted COD usually sells the worst on PC, but still).

Typically I don't care one whit about sales or player numbers or anything else. If I like the game, I like the game. That said, just like with Elden Ring it makes me happy to see games I like become popular. Because it means we'll get more like them. <3
