Breeding with Spiders
I have always wonder how Dryders were made. Thanks to Astarion mating with Halsin as the Bear its starting to make sense. Im hoping to see Halsin wild shape into a wolf spider next time for clarity. It was such a mystery for a long time. How did those Drow breed with spiders to make them dryders. Thanks to Larian things are starting to make sense. Im looking at a spider right now thats crawling on my wall with new hope:invisible:

They were made via magic, not traditional reproduction

thanks to Larian and their commitment to diversity and inclusivity in their games I am being educated. Im glad that there are video game companies championing the ideals of people who were considered mentally depraved.

You think we as a society should embrace beastiality?

Driders are a result of a curse, not of any sexual intercourse.
Draegloths now, those are born through a physical sexual union between a Drow female and a demon. They are also much cooler than driders, both in fluff and mechanically.

It can be considered as a mode of humane punishment for certain categories of perpetrators.

Spiders are insects and dryders are half spider. Some say magic, others curse, its always been a mystery to me until Larians Bear love.

"Akshually" spiders are arachnids, not insects.

You pick the Halsin option because it strikes your fancy.
I do it because it's funny. We are not the same.
I'm not picking anything, read the room.

Yeah but you're praising larian for being inclusive of what would be classified as being "mentally depraved", so do you think actually interfering with animals should be more acceptable?

Halsin and Astarion are both male so they clearly can’t reproduce.

All my Dryder lore comes from sex games.
Do they not "Aggressively" try to breed with normal people?
Like, I thought Centaurs and Minotaur's did the same thing.
