Character origin question
So, I was under the impression BG3 had a character origin story where they have a mysterious magical spell embedded in their chest which is the equivalent of a nuke, and they need to figure out how to get it out/defuse/dispell/whatever before it blows.

Am I just insane? Was this content in a much earlier build of the game and they just removed it for launch? I've looked at all the character origins on the BG3 wiki and there's no mention of it. I Googled it a myriad of ways, and nothing. Did I dream this? What the ♥♥♥♥ is going on?!

Cool, appreciate it. I don't know why but I have a memory of this and I *thought* it was going to be the focus of a character's origin, but it seems to have been pushed back to be just a point of interest for her, I guess. That's a bit disappointing, but at least they didn't cut it entirely.

The idea of a character with a magical nuke in them set to go off *whenever* is exciting. Ah, c'est la vie

Don't worry it's still in the game. You're not looking for Karlach, you're looking for Gale [baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com]. He has a magical bomb inside of him that could 'level a city' and is on a time limit to get rid of it.

Karlach's one is more of a combat thing, where she has a unique Beserk mode that can see her damage people around her, including your team.

I believe you're looking for Karlach.

Okay, I see it now. "She has a bomb for a heart which probably will obliterate you if she gets too worked up." Karlach has the least amount of info on the Wiki and no origin synopsis there.

This must be what I saw before. Thanks very much, I feared I was losing my mind.

Not a problem! She was one of the later announced origin character so there isn't as much on her yet. :)

Awesome. Okay, I'm not disappointed anymore! Why didn't I see that when I was reading the wiki?

Thanks!

No worries!

Oh, yeah, I forgot Gale had that in him. I remember he can nom on magic items and such but forgot about the large -boom-.

Karlach has a 'hell-engine' embedded in her chest that is implied to eventually kill her so my mind was still on that.

While generally good guidelines, Wiki's are written by people, and as such may have missing info, misunderstood or entirely false content.

There's not much written at the moment because there's not much information available yet.
