if you pick one of the origin characters, I doubt you'd be able to respec since their class is basically who they are as a person, the story wouldnt make any sense if Shadowheart was a Barbarian instead of a Cleric of shar.
Frankly, I also don't mind them being tied to a class but since I'm going to play with friends who would have more of an issue with this than me, I wanted to know before the game is released.
So I'm generally not trying to argue about whether or not it's good or bad, I just want to know what to tell my friends. Because they really want to play Origin Characters but like to customise their classes.
They've a ton of storyline literally tailored to their background, shadowheart as a cleric of a specific god. Wyll as a warlock tied to his Demon patron, Gale literally being a wizard trying to fix an arcane nuke from going off.
multiclassing is the best hope you got.
