Outlander works if your magical person was a loner.
Guild Artisan would make sense if you used your magic to assist in the sale or creation but i dont know if that is in the game yet or if it even will be added.
But if you just want a background that gives you a skill that goes with your class, then Noble gives you persuasion, which is Charisma, which works with your Charisma Sorcerer, and is honestly the best skill in DnD next to Perception.
