For example, you can go your different routes, one can go fight a rat in a cave and one can be vendoring at a merchant, its singleplayer, but you both have characters to control.
Some decisions you make are personal, e.g. resisting/feeding your brain parasite, romancing companions, etc.
Other decisions are party-wide, e.g. siding with the good guys versus the bad guys. In such cases, the power of choice is given to whoever initiates an important conversation. You can view any conversation your friend is having with an NPC, but they retain full rights to make decisions on behalf of the party, without your input.
Story-wise, you are largely playing as "the party," with each of you operating an autonomous character that makes decisions on behalf of said party.
Will the multiplayer will be like it is in EA or will it improves?
I'm curious if there will be friend relation between two Tav (for example) or what if i'm playing Astarion? Will i have the same kind of Astarion's relationship's style with a Tav?
