That at least leaves open hope, thank you :) (I'm waiting for release day to play it, prepurchased it but wanna get the full experience in the first blast - didn't know if folk had run across it in the early parts of the story)
You're always welcome to not engage in any kind of romance style that isn't for you, in games and in real life. For my part I hope the game includes the things you enjoy, in addition to the things others enjoy.
Its also not call of duty, its a roleplaying game. Relationships in Role Playing games are as much part of the core of RPGs as spending half the game in a tavern. You've been playing too much Diablo if you have an issue with that.

I'm not sure about this specifically, but the Larians have to work on all this. After all, the original BG is ahead of almost all modern RPGs in this regard
