Body Type/Build Options?

Hey all, I'm a bit curious about possibilities for future additions to the game (forgive me if this has already been discussed and please point me in the right direction if so).

But I myself am a stockier, more dense muscle type person, so it would be quite immersive for me to be able to build a character model that would fit how I look as opposed to the more lithe type character models available now.

Does anyone know if differing models (i,e, Heavy, Stocky, height difference, muscle density, etc) is a consideration the devs have had in mind? I think it would be quite an immersion builder, but I'll play regardless, of course.

One of the last screenshot displayed on the playstation blog shows 4 body types.
My guess is 2 females and 2 males, muscular or not.

As the sex of the character is decided on a different screen, I'd imagine the 4 body types will be for each gender (I may just be optimistic).

Wouldn't be sure about that, since you can also use all voices no matter the gender.

Yeah, that does work against my theory but I'll stay optimistic.

Doesn't really bother me either way as I generally make characters I find attractive, meaning I tend to go mainstream (athletic build) on body type.

More options is always a good thing though.

Exactly, you can already choose a female look, give it a male voice and choose the pronouns. no need for an additional choice of male and female bodies a second time. So they probably are 4 different build types.

I agree with you as text of that blog also have me this impression. I am expecting 4 body types.

OP, Just play a dwarf for short, stocky and muscular. On the plus side they have 47 different pronoun choices, but you’re stuck when it comes to body type.

I believe there was a comment on their recent post indicating body type options would be available, I'm curious how it may be incorporated however (be it a hard select or a slider). But to what extent, no idea until launch or they release a video showcasing it.


I'd prefer a slider but honestly don't really care about body type in my game as long as it isn't comically over exaggerated and unnecessary.

Though I always find it odd when companies add these types of customization options to games unless it specifically fits the game. Then again some people like to add themselves in the game they are playing. Or a facsimile of or just want the option to do so because they can.

I guess if it fits the class / characteristics of the character (EG: not having a wizard with 8 str that looks like a body builder)

To each their own I guess.

tons of games have this option. almost every game that you can customize character you can do this. Its not new.
