It's been a 120+ years since BG2. The half-elf Jaheira is still alive, Neera might be too.

neera was quite possibly the most annoying part of bg2 in my opinion. Was such a shame gameplay -wise she was super handy

Jaheira might be elder half elf at this point maybe, but I'm not sure, depend on player choice of story with Jaheira. I'm not sure Jaheira want to get rid of her husband so she can had love affair with player in secert, There's something fishy going on here.
I found romances are too limited in BG1 and BG2 for human male good side, no female human good side in both game.

people are already trying to make young neera, doubt you can make an old one atleast not atm since their are no old faces, hopefully they add some so i can do an old granny build that exclusively throws books for damage.

Neera is a half-elf just like Jaheira. and she definitely seemed younger than Jaheria so why is is probably dead?

on top of that if Misc survived due to being persevered from petrifaction magic, Neera could have had her wild magic go haywire and caused her to be shot forward in time or some other thing that preserved her.

Yes, bring back Neera the wild mage. She was a young half-elf in BG1, and she could easily be alive during BG3. She's be probably 140 or so years old. Romance material for grown-ups.

And who knows -- maybe she will have learned to better control her wild surges.

There is no reason Neera cant still be in her early 20s. Its not much of a stretch for a wild mage. Just say she was trying to teleport to Candlekeep and ended up 150 years in the future instead.

I made my own Neera. Of course, "wild mage" is not really the same as it was in BG1/2.
