This is simple not true. There are over 600 spells and actions, excluding upcasts. If you think there only a couple Illusion and Enchantment spells/actions out of 600, you are kidding yourself. Also, Illusion and Enchantment subclass for wizard has already been confirmed.

I'm talking about the new spells that were revealed in Larian's pist.

Illusion/Enchantment get almost nothing compared to the other schools.

Enchantment is fine Ottos Dance and the dominate line of spells but Synaptic Static would have been nice.

A lot of people are reading over the word "include". The list of spells you see are only a sample of all the new spells added.

Think Illusion was pretty much always going to be shafted to some degree - they mainly rely on the player and the DM, which makes implementation a bit of a problem.

We're getting up to 6th level spells, so that's 28 (?) Illusion spells from the PHB alone.

yeah i would think this is the case those spells on the list + the ones in EA do not make 600 at all...

the reality is enchantment and illusion spells dont work well in a game like BG3, they require major cooperation from a DM to be fully immersive. Any illusion or enchantment spells we do get will likely be lack luster as it will be so very difficult to properly implement things in any meaningful way. rest assured, we will get all the basics like suggestion and invisibility but some things like illusory terrain seem impossible to implement in any meaningful way unless they only gave us like, a handful of ways the spell can be used (which is possible and would still be better than nothing, clear out a goblin camp by making the entire camp look like its turning into a sink hole?)

So, i think we'll have plenty of spells to choose from, just expect limited interaction possibility because its a video game and not a table top game

They haven't released the full spell list so there's no basis to claim this at all

So where did you see the full spell list for the game... or are you just getting your steam powered nickers in a knot. 600 spells is already a lot... or were you hoping to make a gnome illusionist wizard multi classed with a thief... Jan Jansen approves.
