2. yes
3. currently no, on release yes
it is turn base,
you can play on same computer, just not playing together.
I mean, she can create two characters and I two, and then when we go through the world on the computer together, we can pick fights and I will just give her control of her characters when it is their combat turn?
If you just play on one device, you'll have to manage that for yourself, until release, when splitscreen will be available. If you use multiplayer (either via Splitscreen or multiple devices) everyone has only access to their assigned characters.
Edit: if you only want to use one device you currently can use the debug option to start the game multiple times for character creation. once all characters are in the game, save the game, close the additional clients and only use the one client to play, but you'll have to manage yourself who has access to each char, there is no way the game currently can distinguish between them.
Nothing, but your characters won't be able to give diferent responses in specific moments in the story, nor have diferent dreams, etc.
If you just want to hot seat the combat and each one control 2 characters there's nothing stopping you.
No. Well, the "release" version will come out 72 hours early for EA owners. So, if you start your game after the release version is available, then you can continue your playthrough. You cannot continue a playthrough made now though, through release.
Also, just a bit of clarification (I think). We've seen split screen coop from the Sony showcase, but I don't think that has been officially confirmed for PC, on release. I agree with the others though, and expect it, but I don't think any official announcement has been made that the modes we saw at the Sony show are also available for PC, and on release. just a cautionary FYI.
Please correct me if that confirmation is available.
This is most likely due to this being a special build of the game. Also there will most likely be changes to act 1, so the full version act 1 will be different from the EA act 1, so you'd probably want to restart anyway, even if the saves were compatible.
Well, they've announced split-screen with their latest trailer. However, I'm not sure if it also applies to PC but I'd be suprised if it didn't.
