I prefer Circle of the Land myself, but I guess that just makes me a big 'ol contrarian.
Basically, go Moon if you want to focus on Wildshaping, Land if you want to focus on Spellcasting.
Circle of the Moon Druids in particular are imminently viable in DnD 5e. Their viability in BG3, however, depends upon Larian fixing the concentrating on spells while an animal AND expanding the portfolio of animals available to the Moon Druid to change into.
Unfortunately, many spells that let you use them with an 'action' (such as Moonbeam or Call Lightning) don't currently let you use that action while Wildshaped even though it should according to 5e rules.
This means the best concentration spells to use while Wildshaped are thos that do not have a 'spell action' associated with them, such as Spike Growth or Flaming Sphere.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
Moon Druids are one of the most versatile classes in the game right now, and can also dish out a decent amount of damage.
They are probably my favorite class in the game right now.
