Which is understandable. If I signed an agreement in good faith with a company, I wouldn't violate it either. I know not everyone does, but for me at least, giving your word still means something.
I just want to know what other companions are out there. Gale's backstory seems extremely mystical, so the mage companion is him.
Will's class seems to overlap somewhat with Gale's, but is quite interested in the story of his female patriarch.
Shadowheart seems to be the pre-determined heroine of this game, according to the setting.
But I'd also love to have Minsk, Jaheira as companions ......
If there was more information on the companion, then creating a character for my first playthrough of the full version of bg3 would be a lot easier.
In fact, you can say how many new companions there will be in the future, just a number, not to the extent of breaking the confidentiality agreement, right?
If they didn't die in BG2, they are possibly still alive.
Caveats:
- If your an Elf you are probably still alive (aside form ending up the victim of misadventure)
- If your a human, you're probably dead, or really old...if your Elmister, you're both, he just doesn't know it yet. Or if you're an idiot and got turned to stone.... yea.
Or made use of lichdom, cloning, or other methods of life extension.
I wouldn't exactly spit out my drink if Edwin shows up, for example.
You are not wrong.
But most 'ordinary' humans do not have the INT to be those things you mentioned.
As for good ol' Edwin, I would rather like to see he survived somehow.
I would absolutely love to see how Larian explained him, and to adventure with him again, as he was so much fun to adventure with.
