Here's a link to it... https://steamcommunity.com/app/1086940/discussions/0/3487500856976202752
Also for those who're fans of the character like myself,, then you should consider subscribing to the Wyll newsletter. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1086940/discussions/0/3495383439604944356
That said, I was going to give you crap for all the cringe (seriously, I have never met anyone as cringey as you are on a gaming forum), but then you revealed that you have seen The Last Dragon, so I'm going to give you a pass this time!
Nah,, I prefer doing things the hard way. ;)
No by all means,, give me all the crap you can muster with that clever & funny brain of yours?? Because I'm not holding back either,, & would love to see if I surpassed my elder when it involves talking crap about people.
Don't go easy on me Darius,, & teach this whippersnapper a good lesson! I want to wave the white flag immediately,, & call you the master. 😎 https://youtu.be/HoKXDRvwgOo
You can't step to this.

In Leroy's voice, "Can you teach me some moves??"
Imho Wyll is our Nightwing,, who still needs his "starfire." 👫
https://youtu.be/zXuopYSbcas
I can't imagine any of the companions so far that would be under his wing though,, so maybe a young teenager?? And depending on Wyll's teachings,, he or she becomes more legendary than himself.
How about if you finally unblock me & become my steam friend...then we can be "bruddahs?"
What do you say Darius,. let us squash our beef together.
What about these characters that Kevin also wrote,, are they "ok" with you Dolby?

Just like Wyll he'll go from zero to hero in people's eyes,, including yours. And he didn't need to make a deal with a devil to do it lol,, unlike those from Hollywood who do it all of the time.
"Let us be bruddahs as fans of The Last Dragon, one of the best martial arts films of all time." 👨❤️👨
Don't you think Wyll will have his own cutscenes,, including epilogue information like on BG2.
Also if we made him our origin character,, wouldn't it give us a higher probability? Since will have specific tags, or quests related to Wyll.
Therefore the writer can implement them all, where we could pick & choose which routes that determine various endings.
Agreed... I think the interesting thing about warlocks in D&D is the considerations around their abilities as mortals without the powers of their patrons - who they were before they made their pacts etc.
Wyll without his powers is no longer the 'Blade of the Frontiers' or this hero figure he makes himself out to be. He's just some mortal... To the extent he was a capable fighter before he got his warlock powers is unknown from my memory of playing, so others can correct me as needed.
Dependent on the level of his hubris, hopefully there'll be a way to influence him to embrace his warlock-ness within the the game, essentially binding him more closely to his fiend patron, who for all we know possesses his soul in exchange for him getting to be 'hero' etc, or we can persuade him to turn away from her but then renounce his ability (at least within his mind) to stand out / be remarkable.
Something like Khelgar in NWN 2 where he can stay as a fighter or go monk might be an interesting mechanic.
If someone more knowledgeable in D&D is reading this and knows about warlocks - what happens a warlock's patron is destroyed? Would they lose their powers?
Would be it similar to a cleric losing their god?
It depends on how your DM roleplays the contract between Warlock and Patron. It is entirely possible to have a Warlock who has no Patron. But you yourself, in your backstory, could write that your powers are linked directly to the life of your Patron, but you do not have to do this. Its up to the player and the DM to decide, because Warlock Patrons are the most fluid of all the sources in the game.
Now, the most common patron is a devil, because people tend to associate Warlocks with "evil spellcaster" due to all the evil sounding spells they have. So what happens when a Devil is killed? Well, sometimes another Devil will step in and take their contracts and therefore gain the power and influence that comes with it, i'm not sure if a new contract would have to be written in this case.
Now, keep in a mind a low level devil can grant wishes. This means the Devil isnt the one granting you powers. The devil is only acting as a intermediary between you, and the cosmic forces of Avernus. Avernus itself is what grants the wishes. Wrap your head around that one.
So this means if a warlock's devil patron is killed, the contract still remains, and you continue to receive the benefits from Avernus because your end of the bargain isnt up until you die (At least, thats the most common contract, Soul for Power, but maybes yours is different.)
However as I said before, Devil's are nothing if not organized, so if a Devil dies, it's likely another would adopt the contracts because otherwise they'd just be deviless contracts not being cared for, not being looked after, not being protected.
So. I've covered the typical TTRPG explanation of warlock patrons, and I covered the most common of them, being devil patrons. But there are many others, from Fey to Celestial. Pretty much anyone or thing can be a Patron, as I said, you dont even need a warlock patron to become a warlock. It can just be..like..a magic rock. Its up to you and your DM.
In Wyll's case specifically, I think if his patron dies, he would argue that his bond is broken, and the contract is over. So I think he would be released from the contract, but I only say this because Wyll has expressed desire to be free of the contract and as he is a "Hero" I think the writers will take him down a redemption arc.
