Let Aradin die?

Has anyone tried triggering the Goblin assault on the Grove gate but stood back and let the Gobbies kill Aradin?

I triggered it once just left came back and everyone from Wyll to Aradin were dead including all the goblins and most of the tieflings on the walls.

My question is- if Aradin dies, does he drop any armor and what type?

I know he has a Great Club, not sure about armor.

I had a sort of similar experience with the true soul killed by the Owl Bear. I took the back way out of the Grove (the one you jump up to and meet the teifling, and then you can walk out and follow a narrow path to the back side; that gets you close to where the true soul and his 2 siblings are. I was close enough I gueas to trigger the scene, (though not close enough to participate) so when i walked out of the Groves front gate, and went to that area, the True Soul was dead, and the siblings had wandered off. Then my companions broke into the conversation about what true souls mean, as if we had had the dialog with the siblings who where already gone.
