What are the Best Classes in Patch 9
I would say from my own opinion Cleric is still strong along side Paladin as well but not sure who else is on that list

I'm starting a GWP Paladin atm, trying to beeline my way for that robot halberd, because the animation for extra reach weapon is pretty sweet.
Let me know about your stun-trip adventures after using this thing :D I have a collection of those.

Yea... nah. Sorcs and Warlocks are 2 of my LEAST favorite classes. Both EXTREMELY limited with their spell lists. I will take Wizard over these 2 narcissistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ any day lmao. Hell, even Bard and Pally are more fun to play and more useful out of combat.
Wizard is more likely a jack-of-all-trades in casting business (unless it's a narrowly specialized wizard like necromancer).
While sorcs are GigaChads which exactly know what they're doing and don't need much spells.
And they have monstrous high chances to land CC spells of category save-or-suck with disadvantage on enemy save. Just Heighten spell and say "ta ta".
I prefer to have more options and versatility depending on the situation. I highly dislike being limited to a certain amount of spells. I like to use magic as in/out of combat, as well as for social situations. I like to be able to switch my spells any time i want and have plethora of possibilities. For me simple spam of the same spells over and over and over again is boring. I like to use tactics, positioning and control on the battlefield. Fireball is not going to help you deal with a bunch of fire elementals. And cone of cold is useless in Tundra. Versatility > Stronger spells.

you are wrong the second you have two turns berserker drops down in the list of max damage hell even with one turn combat you can get more if you prebuff:)

and no i will not tell you cos i want it to stay in game. not to mention you can slap that necro curse and you are doing even more damage and mutiiclassing will be bonkers lol

Bruh. I am talking about current state of game only. Meaning EA with all of it's bugs with lvl5 limit.

And I haven't found any evidence that some other class could overdamage barbarian with haste and GWM. If you'll find someone — tell me pls exacly who is this hell delieverer.

And even considering this, I find barb one of the most useless classes. Because it can only make great damage and nothing more.

Well, most likely my first playthrough would be with wizard. Just to touch all the spell variety and forfill my curiosity.
But I'm almost sure there would be some kind of chart of good spells that will almost fit sorcerer's list and tons of useless garbage )

Well it depends what you value in a spell caster, do you favor the range of possible ways to solve a situation, or do you value bonuses or unique effects to the more limited options you do have to make them more unique?
That's kind of how I've always viewed the difference between Wizard and the other main spell casters.

I have no evidence that you found it and not just fсkn around here, trying to mock me :)
So without any facts I'll stay to my opinion. But i'm always ready for discoveries.

My not-at-all-subjective list:
1. Cha Casters
2. Rogues, Druids
3. All others not mentioned
4. Melee classes
;P

in short the class doesn't play by fair rules and you can do 9 attacks at level 5:)
And it's not barb? And not using obvious bugs, only exploits?

I would guess you're talking about fighter with second wind. But in this case it doesn't make much sense because it will still suck with GWM ) and still a meh.

When the game comes out, my first playthrough will be as a Half-Orc Druid of the land with a longbow (since we will be able to roll for stats, 18 wisdom from the start and take weapon skills as a feat). And Gale will be glued to me like i can only choose 2 companions :P Also Laezel and Shadowheart probably... until i can switch Laezel for my favorite Minsc :P Boy do i miss that crazy bastard :D Also chatter between Laezel and Shadowheart is hilarious :D What can i say... i love all the full casters :P

I value options, possibilities and as many spells as i can get my hands on :D All that "unique effects" is meh at best :D Just my personal opinion and preference

Half-orc without a d12 melee weapon is a waste of biomaterial :)
No melee weapon = no savage attacks! :P

Shillelagh on staff + Shield. For melee attacks as a druid. Shame can't have Green Flame Blade - from something like magic initiate (wizard). That thing makes druid kinda viable as a melee fighter out of wildshape till the endgame (tested in tabletop). And pretty tanky too. Also Half Orc melee weapon feature should work with druid in wildshape (at least it does in tabletop). And literally ANY class benefits from Relentless endurance. And intimidation proficiency is pretty useful in BG3 too.

Meh, adding bonus d6 on crit is not cool.
That's why you need a d12 greataxe!
