Most useful class?

Heyo i was just wondering if yall have any general recommendations on best 3 race/class combo to play as? been playing as a warlock tiefling, just curious what other people do or if 'OP' builds have been discovered

Half-elfs are pretty strong due to their ability to add +2 to their stats on top of +2 charisma to begin with. The warlocks get charisma saving throw proficiency. On top of that, they also get a free cantrip. They are just a strong race overall.

They also make very good Sorcerers IMO.

Tieflings get resistance to fire damage, though...and fire damage is one of the most common damage types in d&d. This obviously depends on how this game develops, but it can potentially be very strong.

I've found Drow/Warlock to be an astonishingly easy play in game, with access to all the easy drow ins, and at will disguise self to avoid any of the awkwardness of being a drow.

Mechanically though, the Zariel Teifling/Beserker Barbarian is kind of ridiculous. A smite attack and fire resistance on a Beserker? Yes please.

In theory you shouldn't but I haven't tested, because the smite is usually an alternative to raging for me , ie, something to use when out of rage or to save rage.

Branding Smite is a spell, so you shouldn't be able to use that while raging.

Divine Smite for the offbeat Barb/Paladin multiclass (once added to BG3) however is fair game, since it's not considered casting a spell.

bard best class . Good spells . Good support. Single target and aoe. Skillmonkey. Face of the party . 2 free spells of your choice at lv 6. Decent wep damage. Inpirations are a life saviour

Play as half Elf cause they got the best undergardments :d also strongrace . Fire damage weapon build .

Level 4 build but should be similar at lv 5. Take strong aoe spells at lv 5

Think lore bard is better but for solo valour looks good

Doesnt matter its not like he is using barrelmancy. Thread was about most useful class and bard is def a very useful class. Thats what it excels at. Video just shows what they are capable of and what build you can go with which was also asked from op.

Not arguing at all about 'usefulness'. Bard could be (and maybe is) the best class in terms of versatility.
His main advantages are: skill monkey and supporting.
Just noticed, that his combat capacities are highly exaggerated in this video.

p.s. lore bard could be even better after lvl6, but we can't say for sure at the moment :P
