You can probably buy one online later on, I got a Witcher 3 CE cloth map for ~$16 with shipping. People buy these and try to sell off the parts and stuff.

Personaly i rarely if ever buy a Collector's edition of a game, waste of time, space and money usually, evne tho there is a couple of CE from a few games that i regret not buying at the time but ended be like "Meh whatever"

But for once i thought "♥♥♥♥ it imma buy it", the statue looks rad, the collectibles are nice the custom character sheets are a nice touch and the artbook is always a plus.

Things like stickers or MTG cards i do not care that much if at all about those but hey...

Would have they given exclusive Party miniatures for a DnD game (better than WizKids ones), that would have been cool. I probably would have thought about it.

If they went all in on the dnd crowd and made quality unpainted minis for player/main story characters/some thrash mobs (they have the 3d models already, get someone to pose/modify them for printing and they could do small batches on demand) It would probably cost them less than adding that non-functional diorama and give people something they'll put on the table for years.
The character sheets are there, they added a D20, at that point I why not go all-in?
Just imagine the free advertising they'd get if they actually shipped some nice looking models to mini painting YouTubers.

(If the people at Larian read this: if you happen make some small scale minis i'd happily come pick them up and get some paint on them :p Groetjes uit Brugge, en kijk uit naar de release!)

The collector's was not eye catching in the least. The Statues subject matter was not appealing to me either, although Mindflayers are the posterboy of BG3 so it is entirely understandable as to why it is what it is.

its not that insane when even higher quality statues alone cost $500-$1k

Ah it's a shame you have to buy the game again just to get the collector's edition merch. Wish there was a way to upgrade, keep your early access game but buy the rest.

Some say it's a lot, others say that it's not. I figure you just have to guess. I suppose you could start an order to see if it's available still.
