1) increase attack stat
2) have someone cast bless on you
3) find a magic weapon
4) cast true strike
5) flank opponent
Plenty of options.
Thanks
Are you using weapons that your characters are proficient with? Is your main character built with their primary stats at a viable point value?
A d20 have 20 numbers, so a 5% increment is added to accuracy per +1 you can add to your attack.
furthermore advantage allow you to roll 2d20 and use the best result. Whereas disadvantage force you to roll 2d20 and use the worst result
On the other hand we can add other stuff to the list like you can drink str potion for melee attacks..
IF you have a bard they can buff the next attacks acc.
You can use special weapon attack Daze that removes dex modifier from the enemy AC and two other weapon attacks give you advantage on acc.
Acid lowers AC by 2 but normaly only works for 1 or two attacks cos blood from the hit removes acid for some reason.
Puting target to sleep or prone gives more acc on melee attacks same as paralyze or if target is blinded...
High ground for range attacks will give you more acc
Ranger and figther get archery skill that gives you extra acc on ranged attacks
There are other ways to get advantage on you acc as well to many to post all...
IF you are using spells that hit saving throws you are kinda stuck with it alot less ways to increase those hit chances.
But they are a few weapon attacks and familiars attacks that give you advantage and bane spell that can help as well. Best result is if you tagret enimies lowest stat from the get go.
2)You can also add advantage on your opponents with stuff like faery fire which gives you an additional roll (advantage), making it the best way to hit your target . Also Opponents who are asleep or paralysed = free crit chance = guaranteed hit but for some reason it only works with meele weapons to get guaranteed crit.
3)There is as well height to your advantage with weapons like bows or spells this is a Larian thing I believe. Darkness and light is also a mechanic that can increase your hit chance if the opponent you are attacking is standing in light from the sun or fire from surroundings like grease on fire.
If im not mistaken charged also gives you a little hit rating (electricity) Been a while since i last played.
Astarion also gets an extra 5 hit with the happy status Vampire spawn racial
4)Adding points to your main stat increases hit and giving yourself high scores while making a character is a good idea.
5)Use weapons you have mastered (proficient)
I see there is some talk about flank as well . Flank is nice for Astarion or any rogue using sneak attack .
Maybe 50-70% ish.
Did I do something wrong or THAT is the average hit percentage and considered normal?
well without any buffing/debuffing and without any special advantage, why should the hit chance be higher than 70%?
Then what would be the point of those things.
Well, other tactical games(or other genre for the matter) usually have 80% and above, and I justed used to those percentages. I didn't play the past baldur gate before.
Thus I am asking to see maybe i did something wrong.
So, can I just say that a pure fighter with 60ish hit percentage without help and under normal circumstances, is normal in Baldue Gate 3?
If indeed so, the tactic to "improving hit rate" is quite important in every battle which then i must find some sustainable way to able to use it in every fight?
