i mean maybe. like they sooner thought to let ladies have beards then let elves have beards
but we will see
The Bearded Woman is a thing, but the Bearded Elf isn't.

Probably because elves are physically incapable of growing beards in the Forgotten Realms, while women do have facial hair, it just isnt as visible as mens.
the phb clearly states
Elves have no facial and little body hair.
Nothing is said about human females, though. ^^
So I guess it's raw ^^

Dyes exist and there are spells that allow for the change in hair colour.

so spells cant make elves grow beards. weird how they can grow hair on their heads but literally no where else. the rule book says they dont have any it doesnt say they cant grow any

I feel like that's just playing word games at this point if you have to pull a lawyer and nitpick the wording on such a level. It's pretty clear what the writers intended, considering this is a VERY common trope with elves across a lot of fantasy settings. They, by default, do not and cannot grow facial hair.

It's not really that weird, either. Just because you can grow hair in one place doesn't mean it'll grow somewhere else. Even some men can't grow facial hair or very thin facial hair due to their genetics. Just play a half-elf, I believe they can grow beards.

Elves can't grow body hair nor can get ripped, that's why Halsin should either look like a regular elf or retagged as a half-elf. Chicks can get beards in this game for WoTC brownie points

Halsin looks like he's been hitting the Druidic 'gym'forge
