Truth is, Gale has to die. He does not have the parasite in his skull, or if he does he is a willing servant. When you first meet him, out of all the other characters, he is the only one you do not have a mindgasm with. He knows too much. He eats magic items. Seriously, I just restarted with a bard because I was messing around with it, and it keeps hitting me in the face that of all the companions you meet, he is the only one you do not have a wiggle worm moment with... You can get a wiggle worm from him I guess, but seriously he does not have the parasite, he pretends to. That and eating magic items, and the ridiculous and inaccurate and stupid "you must resurrect me.." No you don't and I won't the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is with the Absolute.

My nemesis is actually Laezel cause she is a bully and I dislike bullies. So I just don't bring her in camp usually, I don't kill her, even for her armor, I just part different way respectfully :D

But that's true that we don't have a scene with the tadpole going too much crazy in the head with Gale. I actually never noticed before your post so I thank you for that. But, yes there is a but, if he is a liar that actually doesn't repulse me, that attract me because he is then more special than the others.

Your theory sounds probable i guess, after all Larian did say that we would get the less friendly companions 1st and well Gale seems abit too nice to be in that category ? There is prolly more to him than just need to eat magic. That in itself is annoying enough but yeah. I doubt he is a mind flayer tho, but who knows.

I tend to just ignore him. I only kill Lae'zel (death to all githyanki and teiflings), and sometimes Astarion (if he isn't needed for my party).

Shadowheart is the only character I will consistently recruit, but sometimes I'll grab Wyll if I want more party members (I love Warlocks, but I'm not super impressed with Wyll himself).

Same . The way Larian changed her to be more obvious as to what companions like and not. She has been my companion pretty much every time. I like that she is somewhat mysterious but at the same time tries to open to you as much as she is able. I have brought Laezel alot in my games , but i do agree that she is not very likeable , maybe she softens up abit later , but you prolly have to romance her hard xD.

Yeah, to me she's just an evil gith and must be destroyed, along with the foul bloods and vampire spawn. I will cleanse the land of evil.

Gale's just annoying with his crack cocaine addiction, and Wyll is ok as long as he isn't talking. As soon as he opens his mouth I start to get annoyed. But, Warlock gonna Warlock, so sometimes I gotta take him too.

Shadowheart is the only one of the currently available companions that I actually want to take with me. I genuinely like her.

1- If he is some form of Mind Flayer or a puppet he can fake the dreams and the connection etc.
2- he is off. There is something wrong with him
3- I agree with Panda above. Shadowheart is it for me so far.
