What would you go as multiclass?
If we were given the ability to multiclass what would you see as a good combo going with what we have so far on the classes. I would say something like berserker barbarian/ Thief Rogue could be quite strong as extra bonus action for them could allow 4 attacks per turn, fulfilling a high damage role fairly well. This is assuming a higher level of course, over the ea cap.

honestly depends on the level cap, if it is 13 i might just choose a pure wizard.

if it's 12 probably a fighter wizard i always liked "spellsword" classes that focus on buffing themselves for stronger attacks with their melee weapons.

Rogue/barbarian, a classic.
And as the dexbarian is a thing in baldur's gate 3, it might even be stronger.

Monk / Sorcerer used to be a thing. I am not sure how it plays out in 5E though.

I mean.. paladin(1 level) / sorcerer (all the rest) ? Will it work in 5e? In 3.5 this was quite an OP combo, because you got yourself a caster who's proficient in all types of armor and weapons, has paladin level 1 immunities + the saving throw charisma bonus.

There's no "still spell" in 5e, but there's also no "arcane spell failure", right? So it could be a pretty good choice.

Didn't the saving throw charisma bonus start at paladin lvl 2?

Original post says, with what’s available now. So no monks, no paladins.

It’s probably Sorcerer + Warlock, most levels in Sorcerer taking advantage of everything great that sorcerer does with access to sorcerer spells and meta magic, and 1–3 levels in Warlock to pick up Eldritch Blast which scales with your level not your warlock level, and a couple of refreshable spell slots on short rest

we need level cap first and have info on how everything will work and stack - not stack before i can even start to plan stuff.

i just hope they fix sneak attack so it works with other class weapon features and not be as just a skill... same goes for other weapon attacks so we can actually multiclass. proper.

Barbarian (Berserker) + Warlock (The Fiend)
Casting Armour of Agathys and Hellish Rebuke before Rage.
Out of Rage you can go Reckless Attack into Hex.
For Eldritch Invocations take Fiendish Vigor & Beguiling Influence or Devil's Sight (depending on your race & skills)
So many I can't list them all here.

But here's a couple been floating around in my brain:

Bladesinger-Drunken Master

Sorlock/Coffeelock

Moon Druid-Archfey Warlock

Hunter-Scout

Watcher-Conjurer

Feels a little to early to consider these things. The bonus action economy feels messed up, and hiding in combat is just a matter of walking behind your opponent. Thief in particular is going to need his "fast hands" renamed to "fast hands and feet" with it's current implementation, and would be a great 3 level investment for any martial class imo.

When the game gets ironed out I would probably like to try the Sorlock multiclass, but I'm not sure, because right now sorcerers only get one bloodline spell (to my knowledge), which isn't really enough imo.

Thief + Dex Archer Ranger I think looks like it’ll synergize really well too

Well, multi-class isn’t available now either so it makes no sense to limit to classes available since this is all speculation and none of it is in-game.

5e multiclassing always felt kind of...pointless to me.
