To test ungroup then add two party members to a group and walk them away. Do the same for the next group. Next walk group 2 up to group 1 and click ungroup on both then click on group.
No it’s a bug, the issue continues even though you do that. I had to stop playing for that same issue.
It seems to be tied to the group hide or the hiding mechanic. Cause it’s occurring to people after using it. When you hide you are able to move one character at a time regardless of group. But the whole group no longer moves together.
And thus this bug. The members even grouped move separately
Currently has no fix or workaround . Report it but ppl have reported to and they are working on it. Still always report.
I tested it and it had to do with distance. I can group, ungroup but the party members need to be close when grouping again.
no it is a bug now. You make a confusion with the normal rules and bug
It works in my game.
You are stating how the game properly works.
Everyone else is stating that it is NOT working that way after the bug happens.
It's a widely reported issue this patch that after the bug activates, there is NOTHING you can do to fix the followers back to following you. Not distance, not pressing the G or group button, not resting, restarting, reloading etc.
I understand clearly that it "WORKS" in my game on patch 8.
Secondly not "everyone" who has Baldur's Gate 3 has posted on the forum about this.
All patch 8 did on my PC was to introduce a micro freeze randomly whether on Vulkan or DirectX 11 which was not present on patch 7.
Although I do have an issue now and then where certain members just won't follow without a reload, this above works for me as well.
Not had this issue at all. I will test with different party member combinations.
Do one specific thing in your game.
Enter "Group Stealth Mode" by either pressing Shift + G or using the button below the portraits.
Alternatively you can put your group members in stealth one by one if you like.
Travel with said group a distance, grouped up.
With that enter a fight or have something break the "hidden" status of one follower. That one gets pulled out of stealth.
After the thing the stealth has broken is dealt with have a hearty congratulations.
With a 95% chance you now have that bug as well.
If that character is leading the group everything is more or less fine.
If another character is leading the group this character just stands there.
And there is absolutely nothing you can do.
I have already tested with stealth and again no issues. I am literally trying to replicate the group, ungroup issue on my PC because i have no idea why i am not affected.
As a sidenote: i only encountered two non-critical bugs during my first playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 at release and yet others were complaining about various issues i was not affected by. On my second playthrough i encountered some of the bugs which others had mentioned, bu oddly not the two i found.
