It really isn't, but I'm not against the idea of having more body types to choose from. Some of them are already in the game in the form of NPC's (Halsin) so I don't see why this would be an issue for them at all.
Apart from that dwarfs are the better barbarians anyway ;P
Want the honest truth? If everyone has similar body types it's less work for their 3d team to make armor models.
While I agree there should be body type variation, I'm willing to bet it's this reason and this reason alone at this point in time.
I supose the ez fix is to have a slender to muscular slider.
We're not getting sliders. At most, we might get some extra body types to choose from.
Go hit the gym, you'd be surprised.
Not to mention they are far from a trained soldier look. And i do not mean muscular hulks, i mean real trained men and women. All you need is to check how people from serious historic reconstruction clubs look.
