Skinny Barbarians
I'm pretty sure this is something that will need to be fixed by mods, but, really, we cannot customize our character to be hulking beef cakes? That's like, that quintessential aspect of a barbarian.
Give us the option to customize our characters properly, pls.

It really isn't, but I'm not against the idea of having more body types to choose from. Some of them are already in the game in the form of NPC's (Halsin) so I don't see why this would be an issue for them at all.

Usually in games npcs have their clothes molded onto them or only very specific clothing that works for their body. However for Player Characters they basically have to either redo all armors for the new bodytype or have a morphs build for them for each armorpiece, which has its own pitfalls. So why it may seem trivial, it is usually a lot of modelling work. I'm not saying it can't/won't be done, only that it is a lot more involved then it might seem at a first glance.

Apart from that dwarfs are the better barbarians anyway ;P

I'd love to see a beefier option as well! Some raided out male body types, would be nice! My 2 cents, cheers!

Want the honest truth? If everyone has similar body types it's less work for their 3d team to make armor models.

While I agree there should be body type variation, I'm willing to bet it's this reason and this reason alone at this point in time.

Must all barbarians look like conan? I mean what if the Barbarian is a female? xD

I supose the ez fix is to have a slender to muscular slider.

Then, considering barbarians are high strength "grush smash" types most of the times, they'd still be quite buff I'd say. In my own opinion at least.

Regardless of how quintessential (or not) being beefy is for a barbarian...having a beefy, skinny, height and fat slider would be amazing for character creation and replayability. I realize that it probably won't make the game but that'd be huge for me, personally.

Isn't devs said that option for different body types will be in 1.0?

We're not getting sliders. At most, we might get some extra body types to choose from.

you really don't have to look like peak arnold to be a barbarian, even amongst barbarians in Conan arnold was an exception rather than the normal just like in real life, big hulking hercules types aren't the norm even among gym rats. Being a barbarian is just someone who fights with their emotions running high, rage usually being the chief amongst them, and using savage tactics ang shrugging off damage being chief tactics. Screaming biting, throwing tables, seemingly impervious to harm are all that comes to mind to me when i think barbarian, totems and totem spirits lending supernatural abilities or new features is just extra frosting, allowing them to being supernatural among other seemingly supernatural classes.

Go hit the gym, you'd be surprised.

You can describe barbarians all you want, but what we have in game is an effiminate men and 45 killo women, that are not even particullary athletic looking.
Not to mention they are far from a trained soldier look. And i do not mean muscular hulks, i mean real trained men and women. All you need is to check how people from serious historic reconstruction clubs look.

He said most humans so even if 100% of gym goers are massive body builders (they're not) most people don't go to the gym at all so their statement is still right.
