Ranger Beast Master - more companions
Do we get more companions? I would really appreciate Panther, since that is my companion since ADnD. It's strange to me we don't have any feline companions. Don't you know if Larian ever mentioned more options for BMs?

Not sure. As said elsewhere though, everything is going to be based on 5e PHB, minus a few exceptions. So I imagine whatever animal companions are listed in there for Ranger, will be what definitely makes it in by release. They could add more though. Plus mods might help later down the line if they don't give you your panther.

That's the issue, in 5e there is like maybe 30 possible ranger companions. I doubt they will include all of them. I would also like to name my companion and generally the Beast Master companion part feels unfinished to me. So I hope anyone has any information about it.

Ah that is true. I just double checked (haven't looked through the book in awhile). Well... unfortunately I can't say I know of anything specific that they'll add. I will say I'd be a bit surprised if they didn't add the ability to name your pet by full release since that's such a common and frequently seen thing in games like this. But again, I don't know of anything official. Sorry I can't be of more service,

Yeah, neither did I, I remember they were specifically named in ADnD... I hope we will get the panther. What I see now is that they use animals that are already in the game so let's hope we will get the panther and others with the full release :-)
