BUT if we are comparing it to DAO oh boy. BG3 is something i have been looking for, for a long time. It sucked me in the same way DAO did.
In it's current state it is only act 1 but it has a ton of replayability and is actually pretty bug free atleast in my experience.
It has a few rough edges like cutscenes being a bit jank atm and not all classes and races are there but atm it has like 50hrs of gameplay give or take some.
Keep in mind your save will not be usable in new patches and will not carry over into the full game so if you don't like restarting hold off until full release.
Trespasser was somewhat memorable as it was the only thing that was actually good about it.
Dragon Age Inquisition is barely a decent game. This is unfinnished but already a better game by pretty much all standards.
People are probably talking about DAO and not DAI. Cus DAI sucks :/
Comparing this to Baldur's Gate is blasphemy and probably illegal. I'm calling my lawyer.
