that kind of games, chir I like the M1 chip as a whole pulls. Later I will update to M1max, but now I want to resolve the issue with this game and this laptop. the work is remote, I got used to the apple system, because MB air, I didn’t immediately take a powerful one, because I wanted to try out the ARM architecture,
sorry for long description))
Thanks! your answer is the only one on the topic. This helped me, by the way, I play with pleasure.
to all the rest: I did not raise the question "can I play on the MacBook Air" I asked how to set it up, you do not need to answer a question that you were not asked.
Anyway, how is the performance on your M1 macbook air?
Uncomparable games. Those are lightweights compared to BG3.
Gaming laptops aren't that great.
So sure, you can spend $4k-$5k to have a laptop that runs the game at half the framerate as as a much cheaper desktop and has the added bonus of wearing out twice as fast also and has virtually no replaceable parts. Is that good? I don't think so. YMMV.
And, incidentally, this thread isn't about whether or not laptops can run BG3. Of course they can, to some degree - but considerably worse than a similarly priced desktop. In fact, the thread is about whether or not an Air M1 can run BG3, so the entirety of the posts post-necro are pointless in any case.
The OP already took the sensible route and decided to game on the desktop.
