In one of the EA updates? Unlikely. I got the impression that Larian in the end decided to NOT add new races in EA no matter what, for some reason.

Well, back before it was "problematic", they came from Orc raiding parties killing the men and raping the women when they attacked small villages.

They do rape the men as well, that is probably the better option as well, for orc's i mean, that way you don't have to take care of a human for 9 months.

Think it's still the same. It's just not as blatantly said now. More implied. Plus, there are instances where Orcs and humans developed something between each other, carnal or otherwise. A lot of orcs end up being integrated into modern society to some degree or another, and several human tribes and raiding war bands form and develop, so intermingling is bound to happen.

When nearly everything is humanoid, are generally the same intelligence and level of sentience, and all have similar parts down below, it's actually surprising more half-somethings don't exist. Thank god for those chromosome differences I guess.

Imagine an elf-dwarf, or a githyanki-gnome...

if they want the half orc to be ok, yeah. you have to feed a mother and if the mother is severely stressed during pregnancy it can lead to issues with the baby, you cant hurt her too much because that can also cause issues. Mean while the mother obviously doesn't want to be there so i imagine she is constantly yelling and scream and trying to escape. Raping the male seems like the better solution (for the orcs)


EDIT: it just occurred to me that you might be thinking about them raping for recreation
i was more talking about orcs who are raping specifically to get a half orc (which they do because half orcs are smarter then full orcs)

I'll just pretend they're all the result of a MASSIVE alcohol/drug induced ritual orgy that intermittently occurred across the planet every so many years. Seems more creatively interesting than Orcs and literally every other race just pillaging and enslaving everything.

I don't think you understand, i'm not saying it's the only way that they were born. but as hex said it was problematic so i am not entirely sure if that is the case anymore lore wise.

At least, that's how it used to be. Again, not familiar with 5e and it's idiotic changes to races and cultures.

  I would toss #2. Modern "problemizers" are tossing #3. But originally it was #1 that was tossed.

The thing with Forgotten Realms is, that some races are evil because they were created by evil gods or are controlled by an evil god.

Orcs were created. The Drow were a faction of Elves that were cursed and exiled after a civil war. But now being inherently evil is somehow morally objectionable because their target audience has an IQ so low that they can't distinguish reality from fiction, so now we have good Drow and "Noble" Orcs.
