I can for sure say your request to remove 100% or all barrels in the game will never happen by the devs, which is good because a lot of us enjoy them. You will need a mod for that for sure.
Explosive dogs? Lol
This guy counted all the barrels (in partch 6) - big kudos to the video creator.
There are (were) 105 barrels in the game
Nautoloid tanks - 13
Water Barrels - 15
Smokepowder - 19
Oil - 27
Firewine - 30
Runepowder Barrel - 1
-------
For me personally they don't make a big diffrence, you cant toss them all over the map like in DOS2 and its more of a chore to actually make them work this time around
It would also be worth noting that water barrels for sure dont explode obviously and tanks unless you drag some with you will never show up in act 1 off the ship at least for a total of 77 barrels, of which fire wine also do not explode anymore they do leave a fire surface for like 2 turns but its rather small if its just one so that is 47 explosive barrels in the game.
Ironically the majority of those barrels are in the same location roughly, which is mostly in or near the goblin camp, because even the underdark salune outpost is right underneath the goblin camp depending on how you got there. a total of 63 barrels are within 3 locations. none of which feel out of place or like wait why is that there? there is often a story via nearby items that explain random barrels like a tipped cart or potential smuggling going on.
Actually. its only 2 months ago, since you created a thread about something completely different (a new class you want in game called barrelman).

Calling people sad lol
The entire map! you said it yourself deal with it! Same as if you pile all the wooden crates that are in the entire map or whatever item... YOu can do the same thing with grenade cos they are unlimited.. but you would have to waste hours and hours if people want to do that...
But i don't see you crying about those??? Like how you can get high ground advantage with those crates everywhere. Ofcourse there will be alot of them if you pile them on.... i mean what did you expect. lol
Anyway we talked this to death aready time to give up hehe cos at this point it just looks like you want to get barrel named after you..
1) There are plenty other people who dislike the explosive barrels, they just aren't as active in participating in feedback as I am.
2) I'm not asking for the literal removal of the barrels themselves, just the removal of their explosive properties. Specifically, oil and wine should not explode. They don't explode in the real world, and there's just to many damn explosions in this game.
That's WAY too many, and oil and wine shouldn't be explosive to begin with. That's 89 explosive barrels in Act 1 alone. That's utterly ridiculous. At most there should be 3-5 in the entirety of the Act.
I'd be content with just a toggle option to render oil/wine barrels non-explosive. That would be adequate.
