I was pretty happy to see that, as it's the only version of Barbarian I'm actually interested in.
Player Handbook.
It is the base rules of D&D 5E, includes the races, classes, subclasses, rules of combat, class features, adventuring gear and nearly everything a player may need.
so what does it mean that there might be a class outside PHB? does that mean anything outside DnD? or more outside 5e?
That would refer to any of the supplemental sourcebooks such as Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Xanathar's Guide to Everything.
and what kind of races are in those books if you could sumarize them short?
havent really read any dnd books and what not so Iknow very little.
only know some few stuff from past games and very casual dnds I did with friends
I mean, Google is your friend. Do a search, and you can find any of the information from any of those books online.
There were new classes added in subsequent books that came out after the PHB. Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft: Tasha's Cauldron to Everything, Eberron, Wildemount, etc.
All these sources are still D&D 5E, they are just newer materials players can use as. Think of the PHB as the vanilla game and all these other books are potential DLC's and Expansion packs, except they are books for a tabletop game.
Maybe if we get eloquence bard, Pan Darius will stop talking about take 10 for dialogue. That subclass is designed entirely around it not being possible to roll lower than a 10 in dialogue options.
ah oki thanks. gonna search them up :)
