Cant loot in combat anymore?

Did they remove looting in combat?

I cant loot the buring sword from general Zhalk anymore.

Are you trying to loot it with Lae'zel or Shadowheart? In the last patch, only the MC can loot anything during the tutorial. Once you leave the nautiloid and the other characters join your party, they can loot again.

You also can't access their character sheets, spellbooks, or modify their hotbars until after the tutorial.

Larian one step foward two steps back... i guess that's one way of doing it. Thank god i'm feed up with the ship zone so i don't really care either way. Still what were they thinking lol...

The only way in the tutorial to change what Lae'zel or Shadowheart is equiped with is to equip it yourself and then equip what they have equipped and then it switches your gear with them. This is how I got Shadowheart to use a dagger in the tutorial. I equipped the dagger myself the I equipped her mace which gave her the dagger, but the biggest problem was I couldn't give her a crossbow since she has no ranged weapon. but otherwise they are extreamly limited with what you can do with them since they aren't full party members at this point so no looting, inventory management or ability management.

I discovered the same as the op because I used to have everyone attack from range to kill the comanger and have Us attack from melee range so he could transfer Everburn to myself or Lae'zel but unfortunately that no longer works

all of that just because you had access to shadowheart's artifact, or?

would've been nice to know Lae'zel wouldn't be able to loot the sword before I sent my MC ahead for the console as the cambions spawned.

I guess that change was more important than giving the option to skip the tutorial, lol
