GALE is most annoying for me. Also I think he is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and full on traitor. However, his snarky "I am sexy, look at me be all sexy with the hot Half Elf Cleric" right off the bat, earns a death mark from me.

Astarion, yes. He just needs death and I give it to him, every time I have played.

Wyll aka "The Blade of Frontiers" !? give me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ break. Pop that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eyeball out, skull ♥♥♥♥ him with a torch, then toss his body on the fire but extract his soul coin first. ♥♥♥♥ him.

Actually, as I have said many times, ♥♥♥♥ every one of the male companions except maybe the druid.

I can live with the scaley fighter, La'zel makes a decent battlemaster. You pretty much Have to have Shadowheart unless you are playing a cleric. She is the most useful of the companions imo.

Now, I am male, I never play females, and I am not gay nor do I play gay characters. 2 of my kids are gay and my best friend, and best man at my wedding, and godfather of my kids is gay. I am not. So I play male characters that romance female characters. That is it. Since this is Larian, and I love them, and I know more or less what to expect, I am planning on ALWAYS killing those characters. Now, when they introduce some more neutral or good companions, then maybe some males will live, if they are decent characters. I will shut them down romantically. Frankly the best romance thus far is siding with the goblins and tumbling with the Drow Priestess. Sooooooooo yeah.

Shadowheart is really the only one I can tolerate, but I will occasionally take Astarion for snek attacs or Wyll for Darkness/Eldritch BLAST!

I know this was for someone else. However, my meaning for someone like that is as follows-
1- the bastard attacked me
2- I play rogue type characters almost as often as sorcerer, heck even rangers, which removes a lot of the need for his class.
3- his personality if far too over the top and cheeky for someone who attacked me and lives by the grace of my good nature.
4- then he wants to gobble up some of my red juice!!!!

So yeah, I think of him as dead weight. For me though, Gale is 10000 times worse.

The only reason I intend to keep him around is to betray him to their master in exchange for becoming vamp myself.

If that isn't an option later on I will be greatly disappointed.

Most people who post hate on Astarion seem to do so based on his over the top gay behavior. I simply wished to clarify.

Do people really need any other reason since it's so over the top everyone can agree on it.

Astarion is growing on me...redoing the blood sucking scene with the star of the show (me, myself, and I) had something to do with it, I think. More like a vampire now and a lot less like something x-rated for men only--ugh...;) Gag...;) Wretch...;) He was getting on my nerves, now, he's not so bad. I'm also enjoying Gale more because I leave him at camp. And despite Wyll's supposed prowess when we watch him fight before the Druid grove, he is definitely a wimp in action. My favorites are myself, of course, as a Ranger; Shadowheart as herself; lae'zel has her yellow-eared self, and Astarion as himself--great at lock picking and not so bad at fighting, either. Leaving the rest of them at camp seems to round things out nicely.

Why does he bite me as a halfling with my tiny blood supply when there are full sized adults all laying around.. never made sense to me.. Least dangerous i beg to differ..

Halflings are small, if you put up a struggle then there is less chance of you getting away as opposed to larger prey. It makes perfect sense.

Astarion is a good team member because you know how things will play out with him no lies same with laezael. they both have clear intentions the rest of the party is lying about something or hiding something important. astarion wants to keep his worm and wants to kill his vampire lord without any bs its clear you want to keep him if u plan using all your illitid powers to take anything and kill anyone.
