Maybe it's only when you save her on the ship
Gain some disapproval in the beginning in the form of recruiting Lae'zel while SH is in the party and she's back to her old self! I love snarky SH. I feel like it is more in line with her story line for her to be like that.
It's cool to know that SH is truly greatful for her rescue and not just what she choose to show
In the other hand, it was so cool to feel a bond was made, earning trust and build frendship with time
anyway she never answered anything unless it was sarcasm. Talking to her was like trying to solve an infernal puzzle box. And I was not proficient.
theres people like this, that is to say, distant and guarded.
The only thing I don't like about Shadowheart is that I can't see the logic they used sometimes when determining whether or not she gets mad at something you say. She's the type who wants you to be brutally honest, but then theres other times where no matter what you pick she isnt happy. Its like she didnt even want you to talk to her at all. Which, yea, I dated girls like that too, but for a video game, its like dang. This girl is -really- difficult to get close to. Only exasperated by the fact that shes the -only- choice.
I know what I said.
But i've always liked those types. Yennefer, Miranda Lawson, Shadowheart. They embody "my type".
Btw its never worth it. So at least they got that part right.
- if you make jokes - don't take the ribbing too seriously; kinda related to moments when you choose really sweet dialogue choices with her and she will usually make a joke in response. She's shy, but appreciates it!
- respect her privacy - explicitly through dialogue choices by either not pressing for more information or simply backing out of the convo entirely. Or just be gentle when asking for more info. if the game doesn't off a gentle option then its not the time or the place where you'll get an answer anyway!
- saving people in a clandestine or clever way (my assumption is that playing the hero triggers her, but she genuinely approves of saving people.) So you don't want to promise to save people outright, but if you create a scheme or just save them anyway without making promises - you will gain approval!
- be nice to animals!!!
Edit: Also, if SH is your ride or die - you probably want to work on softening her ASAP! You know shes on a do or die mission to give that puzzle box up. And you should assume what a cult of Shar will do to a loose end once its retrieved... Don't do it, SH!
So tldr Shadowheart is the most realistic woman portrayed in a videogame :P.
