Why is Lae'zel so strong?

Because she's a fighter class. Make a fighter to and you also can mess up enemies in combat encounters.

What they are good at is in the name. Fighters. I'm sure players who decide to play as her when the final game comes out will find themselves having to rely heavily on Wyll or Astarion for the traps and the conversation checks. She's only good at fighting.

She's a fighter. However if it's not dealing damage she's going to struggle. We only have level 4 and martial classes tend to be strong in early levels. Wait until you face a caster with some form of spell that requires a wisdom or charisma saving throw.

I pretty much agree with this. Shes a beast.

Fights are good at, well, fighting, smarts/perception of a higher intellect? Not so much.
Obviously we see this in having to 'mold' her opinion in other matters.

Lae is a gith. She has +1 Int! She read about the zaith'isk!

All I ever do in games is play fighters or snipers. I suppose some of you all don't have the resume as I do on how to rip and tear to excellence.

I play Tav as Fighter alongside Lae and the game is a cakewalk. Twice the Menacing Attack is delicious.

Eh not necessarily any dumber than other classes, and an Eldritch Knight fighter would be smarter than most since they want a decent Int for spell casting. Int just isn't all that useful for most classes in 5E.

Doubtful. First time you see her after the nautiloid, she's stuck in a flimsy trap by scared tieflings. She can't do much on her own. She can't even say please if it saved her life. Establishing character moment right there.
