Watching people react to these companion characters tells me how many of them have never played a ton of rpg video games before. The fact that anyone would have that opinion of Gale is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bizarre to me. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ judgemental attitudes of people are legit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane and gross.

I can't say anything in Astarion's defense though, he does literally do that in the game. Given what he is I don't know why you would find that surprising though.

Hey the female characters stink! You cant accuse Larion of being discriminatory they are not at all and the voice actor for the gay vampire was great! i still yeeted him off a cliff but i did that to everyone lol

True, but I think Shadowheart could be alright once her story is fully fleshed out.

For me, most of these characters will probably fair better when the origins are completed and players get to interpret their characterization. I think I will probably play origins more than making a original character do not steal (then again i do love my drow lady OC).

The companions are realistically abhorrent. They remind me of most people I meet in the real world so we should all be giving the game designers kudos for their excellent and realistic depiction of real human behavior.

A "wave" addict always asking for your nice stuff so they can get a fix
