Shattered Sanctum Rat by the goblin prisoner

There's a rat here that if you have animal speech says that he's looking for a way into a safe space. I'm guessing there must be some movable object but I don't see it (or maybe it's not there yet?) Jumping into that pit is insta-death. Has anyone figured this out? The dialogue is "You feel the rat's impatience to wriggle between the floorboards to the safe space beneath."

Not yet, the rat still says it sees shining things, but I walked all around and did not find any small burrow, or crack or anything. :(

I found a hole in the Sanctum that is too small to enter. I is on the balcony that doesn't have a way up to it. There is a Dragon mushroom on one end and a hole on the other.
I am going to find a Ranger that can change form into a rat and see if they can enter the hole.
You need the misty boots or some other means to get over to the balcony.

There is another rocky crevice in the room with all the smoke barrels and fire wine barrels.
Rat familiars won't go into the hole. I need to level up my ranger I guess.

There is a way to get into the ruin basement, speak with the Goblin shaman and agree to her every request. She will take you prisoner and if you don't do anything our friendly Devil that wants to make use of us will send his agent to come free us. The said agent will free you after she kills the Goblin shaman and her troll bodyguard. Afterwards loot her body and get her key so that your other 3 companion can follow you, there will not be anymore enemies and Goblins will not be hostile to you at the upper level.

In the basement you will come across a shrine with a puzzle, solve the puzzle (google it) and then go down into the under dark shrine and our friendly Devil will show up and make his pitch to you.

This is the easiest way to get into the ruin basement and the underdark and I found it by accident which is 100% nice.
