Weapons for Barbarians/Fighters.
Ever since they added the Everburn Blade in the beginning, I find myself using it through the entire EA...every other weapon just seems weaker. I like the +1 Poleaxe for the extra reach and it used to look sick with Full plate on a fighter.

The Paladin Sword is ok too but more for tankie tanking.

Should Everburn get a nerf?

It's a mere +1d4 burning damage, which you can get on any greatsword just by dipping it in fire, which is literally everywhere in a Larian game.

It's good, but it's not the best. The Light of Creation is arguably much better in some circumstances, and Tyr's Justice is great, but of course right now you can just pass it around and let everyone without a concentration based spell use it and then put it away.

I end up grabbing Everburn because I always kill the cambions for xp anyway, but I rarely use it. I also think going two-hd isn't all that awesome yet since you have to give up a shield and it's +2 AC, for what, a +2 to your average dmg roll? I mean, a longsword is only 1 dmg die less than a greatsword, and you can use a shield with it too. I'm not all that impressed with 2-hd weapons yet.

Of course, feats change everything. GWM makes it a lot more attractive, but not necessarily Everburn specifically. Literally any 2-hd weapon will benefit from GWM.

It’s good if your fighter takes the great weapon style because the 1-2s get to be re-rolled. Keep in mind that a +1 great sword is almost as good because of the extra +1 to hit and damage.

I agree with OP on this one i pretty much stick with "Ever-burn blade" right from the start and i don't feel any other two handed weapon is better at the moment.

"The Light of Creation" can stun the user which is not worth the hassle,

"Sword of justice" has slightly less damage than Ever-burn blade and the "Tyr's protection" spell it has isn't even that good for it to become a swaying factor.

i don't think Ever-burn should be nerfed though, assuming once the game is released you should be able to find a better weapon.

They've already nerfed the intellect helmet (the one you get from ogres) therefore ruining some of the builds. I don't think the blade should be ruined too.

What instead I could think of is that unique items that PC can only get on specific condition like the sussurbark one or the drow blade - should get some buffs. Maybe sussurbark would be a +2 instead of +1 and not be limited to a dagger, sickle or greatsword? Not sure if that's too strong.

I love the damage output with Greatswords, so when my multiplayer crew takes the Cambion down, my mouth waters.

Haven't encountered the "Very Heavy Greataxe" yet tho. It has piqued my interest.

Lights Creation is the best weapon if u ask me.

It’s 1d10 + 1d6 + 1
Total: 3-17 (Everburn total: 3-16)
+1 to attack
And it has reach.

The Stun just stuns you for the rest of your turn after your attack. So use everything else first (bonus action) prior to attacking.

The stun will be worse at level 5 with extra attack out

Lame, I liked having that on my "Enlightened" Fighter.

I did end up switching to the +1 Poleaxe just cause it looks cooler on my Orc...err "Green Human" Barbarian....

FYI - Please add Orcs or Half Orcs.

Yep. Apparently setting INT to 18 was "too good" and now it only sets it to 17. (geez, that was a mid-tier item at best and would only be good in Act 1 perhaps and on early level). Considering that odd values of AS have almost no benefit it might as well mean 16.

It is actually called Light of Creation. It is in the Underdark, in a tower filled with humanoid automations. You have to fix the elevator, get to the top floor and then defeat the boss Bernard.
Bernard drops this weapon.

The only way I would use it is if it were cold damage and froze surfaces (their blood) while giving immunity to ice prone events for the user. Without the cc potential I would be just another dps unit leaning on the healers. :steamsalty:

I don't find it to be all that great, honestly. I'll take a +1 weapon any day of the week. I can literally light my sword off just about anything, including torches I carry on my person.

Or, as it turns out, a party member that's on fire.

Since I already do that on pretty much any martial character, it's not that big of a deal.
