We will most likely have achievements for collecting those things on full release even if they don't ever 'Do' anything in game.
I mean… if I kill who it belongs to… Does it mean its mine anyway? If there’s nobody left then it’s nobody’s thingy ehehhehe…. Yeah we got issues, I know.
I prefer to call it extreme-collecting
It's investing time in procuring items of potentially high and unique value, which elevates my positive experience of playing the game; in direct proportion to the number of items I acquire.
The DSM-5 manual is soooo like 2013 dude. They don't understand the lifestyle.
But even those are used in quest in a way.
In short i don't store items that have no combat or other game mechanics value.
So far i passed on bunch of spoons and weapon salami if they exist lol that have zero value to me.
I guess there are no... Golden pantaloons :(
In BG 3 i had a few fun item like the Zentherim chest...and others MY fav so far is the horn! That they actually fixed after it stoped working for few patches..
Ow and my least fav items? Bunch of keys without a keyring that i hate...
They have an orange outline!
Props to inflate story and crafting misdirection, those items are crap, just like the bottles with "mysterious substance dried on the bottom" that you would think you can re hydrate with the water bottles everywhere on this game.
More bad planning stuff from Larian.
