As some have said, you need to turn the graphics way down to open 4 instances of the game. Though you may not actually need to do that. You can actually build 2 unique characters, by going split screen. All you need to do to do this is have 2 controllers attached to your PC. I haven't tried this, but my assumption would be you can open 2 instances of the game, BOTH split screen, and then you would not need 4 instances of the game open, but 2.
Excuse me? neverwinter nights stored character data locally too, that data can be transferred to the host prior to loading in, and saved in the paged file for data reference. honestly it wouldn't be that hard and would honor the original BG/Swordcoast series of games having the feature. while several of you may not see the fun in having a level 10 join a level 1, some people who are friends may very well still enjoy the game as such, not to mention it's more realistic then "everyone on nautiloid ship destined for mind flayer transformation was just starting out on their adventuring career. and as such are all level 1"
It's a huge L (for lazy)! They sold an incomplete concept as Early Access in 2020 and now are reselling an incomplete game in 2023 that level caps at 12 (should be 20 for anyone not familiar with common DnD, which the game is based off) because "it's too hard to balance beyond 12".
Although, thanks to mods, I'm having more fun replaying the same acts over and over than level grinding in Diablo 4 right now.
Cannot WAIT until Larian just releases a developers toolkit to let us make our own realms. Even if it were a DLC.
