Berserker or wildheart? What's your favorite subclass for barb?
About to pick for the first time and undecided. Would love to hear peoples thoughts.

i went frenzy , enjoying it so far , but im going to try wildheart bear next as , as deadly as he is he's also very squishy even in rage ...loving it though..new favorite class , its making me think of new ways to play

I haven't played a 'Zerker yet, they look kind of boring. I have a Human Elkheart and a 1/2 Wood Elf Tigerheart.

I played wildheart and I feel that it was a bit underwhelming. Again, chose it because of the animal speaking perk. I think Berserker will be the best option.

the idea of simple taking whatever object or NPC and use as a weapon looks o freaking fun.
like jesus why we dont have more of that in others RPG?

Has anyone tried to throw an explosive barrel yet?

Yes, it works

I assume that Wildheart will be better when full game releases. For example eagle aspect eventually gains flight according to dnd 5e ruleset.

I'm a min/maxxer so I chose beserk, but the others seem situational but fun. 2 attacks at level 3 is crazy talk.

Dunno why they changed the name from Totem Warrior. Maybe totem means something bad in British English. In any event, I prefer berserker because it requires less thinking.

There's no reason to do anything else but bear wildheart. Bear Totem Barb is the easiest way to make completely broken and op char in D&D. You can easily turn that into unkillable death machine that can take alone most enemies in the game.

Berserker by far. Best defense is killing fast, and oh man, does he kill fast. Also, 19 AC in the opening nautiloid isn't squishy in my book. Also also, throwing enemies on each other is too good to pass.

I now have a 'Zerker, an Elkheart, and a Tigerheart.

All up to level 3.

I'll report back when they are all level four, but so far I kinda like them all the same (that is, while I'm not a huge fan of Barbs to begin with, I don't see any major weaknesses relative to the other Barb subclasses).

1st try in P7 with BearHeart. Shield Dwarf...
The thing just wont die.... especially when getting healed by Shadow, wearing Zevlor's gloves...
Not even at L4 yet but with potion of str and great weapon master will probs be able to decimate most fights alone

got a berserker up to lvl 4, and outside of dialogue options, I don't really ever use rage.
The whole bonus action attack is rarely used because fights are over so quickly. So using a bonus action to start a rage isn't really worth it.

I'm finding mobility, and options to increase mobility really help though. Like laezel's triple jump distance ability and the spear's charge ability are both real nice in combat.
