Sneaking

I haven't played the game since maybe Patch 3 or 4. My question is I seem to remember previously when I went into sneak mode I had to put each PC in sneak mode individually. Which was a pain but allowed me to split the party and get 2 guys in position while in sneak mode and I could then move the other 2 are normal around the map until they got to a spot they needed to sneak.

Just playing now it seems the whole group goes into sneak mode when hitting the button which is fine when grouped but if I have them split into 2 groups of 2, the button still affects all 4 characters unless I am missing something.

Can you individually sneak characters if they are not in group mode?

you can sneak with the c button by default - or a key labelled hide on the bar, the "group stealth/sneak" on the left effects everyone - you need to individually sneak everyone if you don't want to group sneak

Ok in my case I had 2 sets of 2 guys grouped. I had the one set selected and used the button and it took all 4 out of sneak mode. You're saying I need to have all 4 seperated to do it individually?

The button under the 4 party members works for all the party, The spell in the shortcut bar works for the selected character

Try using hotkey C, shift C will toggle the sneak of the party while just C will toggle sneak on individually selected characters. Something like that, test it out.

Shift-C is now 'group sneak mode' - which is an addition they made in this patch.

It was a good addition for sure. Much needed.
