Will Eberron be in Baldur's Gate 3?
Since DnD just announced Eberron for this year, and, Baldur's Gate 3 will come next year. WIll Eberron be on the game?

I mean, Larian is with the source, so, it could be possible to have material for it.

You are aware that Baldur's Gate is in the Forgotten Realms setting, yes?

This is actually tied into the avernus book somehow, I think its supposed to be a prequel to the book. I'm not 100% I think its set before the book.

Unlikely. The game is set in the Forgotten Realms and connected to their next published adventure, which takes place in Avernus. Eberron is a different world with a different cosmology. Depending on whether or not 5E keeps the 4E Eberron cosmology, there may not be an Avernus in the Eberron campaign setting.

Ugh, prequels... why watch a movie / play a game if you already know how everything turns out?

Dungeons & Dragons Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus is a prequel to BG3

BG3 was announced for that game streaming service.... stadia? from google.... so I am guessing BG3 is coming end of year, not next year, but I could be 100% wrong, which is okay. but based off this info, I assume we should see the game this year.

Nope they specificly said it won't be out this year. https://www.usgamer.net/articles/larian-studios-shares-its-vision-for-baldurs-gate-3-interview

In the shorter term, Larian still has a lot of work to do on Baldur's Gate 3. When I ask if it might come out in 2019, Vincke only laughs and says no. It sounds like we won't be getting the final game until late 2020, or even early 2021, though this is just speculation on my part.

I think it's really unlikley we will see more than Early Access next year either.

I don't want to make a thread just to ask this but is Elminster still alive?

He is. He was a little under the weather (read: comatose) during 4E, but he's back in 5E.

This will not be at first but in fact, all D&D worlds are somehow linked via planes of existence or crystal spheres (reached via spelljamming). And in Baldur's Gate 2,you can encounter halflings from Athas (Dark Sun setting) and Knights of Solamnia from Dragonlance.

Going to Eberon would require a lot more effort to be sold as a DLC.

I think we would be more likely to see the Mystic/Artificer classes and the Gith/Eladrin races from Unearthed Arcana then anything from Eberron.
