Wouldn't romance, would go on goblin exterminating crusade with though
Gale is tap water and eats your items
Might romance under different circumstances, he's pleasant enough
Astarion has his quirks, but he strikes me as more tormented than truly malicious and I find him easy to get along with
Not romancing though
Laezard's personality fits. She's unpleasant at times but she means business and honestly makes a gith playthrough worth trying with all the dialogue it adds imo
I won't romance the mean green alien though, zero offense
Minthara is a psycho cultist
Nah
Shadowheart is awful. Just awful. My god, literally why bring her around? Just make a custom cleric who doesn't look for the stupidest excuses to snap and is one of the subclasses with Faerie Fire or super heals. Christ
No, I'm not gonna turn around and say I'd romance her as a funny haha, she's completely insufferable
Noticeable lack of cute tabaxi companions/10 won't be exploring romance routes
I also think Larian went out their way to make gith females look good, so we should be grateful. I am thoroughly enjoying the love/hate of getting lost in Lae'zel's gecko eyes while she calls you a weakling. I'm serious! They made it work.
You should have stopped there as that answered OP's question better then anything posted below it imho.
Okay, so I had to pipe up about the Baldur's gate 2 comment here. As a female looking to romance a male while playing, I was very disappointed that Anomen was my only choice. I just could not drum up any interest in him. Thankfully, modders came to the rescue with Haer'Dalis and Valygar romances.
As to BG3, I'm a hopeless Astarion fangirl, and so is my teenage daughter. With my recent gaming over the years, I have notices a pattern - Elf, Assassin, Broody, Dangerous. That seems to be my type and if a character falls into at least one of those, I like them. I know, I have a problem.
Wyll is too 'bro' for my taste - totally trust him to have my back, but there is no spark. Gale I like - he reminds me a bit of Dragon Age's Alistair, so that helps. Plus I love the way he talks. "It is to be avoided." Hehe. Shadowheart is stunning, and I can't wait to get deeper into her story. Lae'zel I am oddly attracted to the more I get to know her, which was unexpected to say the least. I'm looking forward to seeing who else appears as an option!
Also the other characters are really attractive as well I don't understand where you are coming from, but beauty is subjective. Maybe play final fantasy, they all are very attractive and the games are really good, different from BG3 tho.
Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so its perfectly understandable that some people dont find the current crop of options attractive.
Sadly, as far as my own tastes go, I don't think an attractive dragon-based option is even a possibility.
