How about you explore it on your own, many times and taste it for yourself? I am not trying to be rude, really, but this is an EA game currently, and there are so many things that could and will change before full release, so asking for a 'guide' at this point is irrelevant, as there could be no definitive guide. You just have to save, and explore it all for yourself, many times, I would suggest, as interactions will elicit different results.

i already did to for quite a while and no it is relevant i'm sorry to break it to it's been out for almost a month and there are guides to every other part of the game so my question is quite reasonable you're just rude why don't you try being helpful you'll feel better at the end of the day

There should not be a 'guide'. I do not blame you. There are people trying to 'claim a name' and be 'respected' as a 'reviewer'. However, they are stupid. The information they are giving is transient, and cannot be confirmed as a thing as this is an EA game. One Hotpatch can change many things, including what their 'guide' is professing as the 'how to' to do it. Do not believe in such. EA is exactly that. Wait till full release to 'believe' in 'guides'.

I might be able to help. Let me know the quest name or item you are looking for or area in Grymforge.

There is nothing you can do, as I said, this is EA, and it is able to change on the fly.
If it was a 'full release' then such a thing would be said in proverbial stone, and a guide could be made.

I can. I am creating guides since first month of release. It helped a lot of people. Whenever changes happened, I updated guides.

Core mechanics of D&D can never be changed. For example, dice rolls. Doing nothing just because it is going to change will not help anyone. Will not improve game & peoplewill remain stuck.
More importantly I like Baldur's Gate 3 & helping people. Not everyone can understand this.

There are 3 notable things to do in Grymforge.
Kill Nere, Kill Grym & use the Adamantine Forge.
Here's how you can do two of them.

It's a shame Nere bugged for me during my run. He ended up dying to the poison after a rest or two.

Hi. Do not forget to read description below video. Many people forget to read.
I clearly mentioned that after getting the quest, you can rest only once. Second time you rest, Nere gets poisoned.

Here is more information. I did not mention it in description for good reason.
Sometimes in fight those Gnomes become hostile & attack player.

I suspect the npcs turn aggro because the torches get blown up in the process of breaking the rocks, I tried a few times but not damaging the torches is near impossible. The turned aggro while other times they didnt. Also turned aggro more often if I didnt have a character close to where the rocks were after blown.

Torches? No.

As soon as you use that powder, they take cover.
Problem is they remain on battlefield as you fight Duergar & Nere.
Only two Duergars were left & Gnomes turned hostile. One Gnome who is trapped with Nere remains in frightened animation. Lunkbrug & Laridda become hostile. It is bugged & that is why I did not show in video. I had to knock down, reload, restart...LOL

Took more than an hour. Clearly, I can not show all that in video. Yet people do not understand.
And yes, above video is in 4K. :D

Short walkthrough... Go talk to the slave gnomes, find out where the powder went. Head that direction, there are two satchels hidden at the the end of the only hallway on the way. You can use those to free Nere, but, dont worry bout that yet, go find the runepowder keg, sneak up on its guardian and steal it. Tough roll iirc, you can get another explosive out of the guardian, during conversation, but meh, you have super dynamite so... Head back to the collapse area. You can either throw down a satchel; everyone runs away, sometimes a satchel wont clear the rubble, sometimes it will, I dont care enough to narrow it down to whether its a damage or placement issue, my best luck with getting it to work properly was one satchel front and center. If you use more than one typically the group inside will catch on fire on the way out and aggro. If they don't Nere will give you the choice of kill everyone or.. I'll let you guess at the other choice. Combat with the mind controllers is kind of lame in a room full of instakilly lava, so remember that big barrel of powder you stole earlier? Throw that down in the center of the room, back up as far as you can and use summon liquid on it. After all the gnomes and dwarves thank you for inventing the sauna, look up and get on that big ugly grey thing above you that messes with your camera. Follow that. The boss can be killed. "Don't stand in the lava" probably wont help you until after you have already turned the wheel and wiped most of your party.
